About the Founder

UmmMaryam is a married, mother of 3, doctor by profession. After having her first child, she took a decision to take a break from career and focus on her family. By the grace of Allah, she has also memorized the Qur'aan and is a trained Qur'aan teacher from Ibn Kathir institute, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In addition to that she is an AMANI childbirth educator and an AMANI Girls' Facilitator/Coach. She currently resides in the United Kingdom with her family.

Her motto is to share with the world, especially the youth what Allah has Blessed her with. As mentioned in the Qur'an: And do good as Allah has done good to you. [28:77]

Al-Maahirat means skillful or competent. We hope to inspire young women to love Allah, their religion and their identity in this confusing world. Our vision is to create a global sisterhood of content, creative and competent Muslimaat bi idnillah
