The Blooming Muslimah

The Blooming Muslimah is a 4 weeks course for young Muslim girls aged 9-13 years to help them connect to Allah, their religion and their Muslim identity.

The course consists of 4 pre-recorded modules, and 5 live interactive Zoom sessions to make the learning fun, enjoyable and relatable.

This course aims to help a tween to-

• Feel special and loved as a Muslimah, chosen by Allah.
• Build a heartfelt connection with Salah and worship.
• Understand emotions, friendships, and peer pressure with confidence.
• Discover the beauty and meaning behind the Hijab.
• Learn how to protect oneself from the negative influences of social media.

Course Format:

• Pre-recorded modules with course material on an easy to use platform.
• Bite-sized lessons to listen over the week.
• Introduction Zoom session teaching the girls how to navigate through the course.
• Weekly Zoom sessions on Sundays with activities for the corresponding modules.
• The Zoom live sessions will be on Sundays 2:00-3:30 pm UK time insha'Allah. (4:00-5:30 pm Saudi time)
• Live Kahoot quizzes during the Zoom sessions to test them on the weekly module.
• A chance to ask their questions and doubts.
• A community of girls learning and growing together, giving them a sense of belonging.

This is a vital age, when our girls are blooming into adulthood. They are still much more receptive at this point than they are in the later years. Setting a strong foundation now is extremely essential. The age group is limited to this range so that the content can be more focused and relatable.

A quick summary of our modules-

Module 1: I am a Muslimah (أنا مسلمة)

This module helps the girls embrace their Muslim identity with love for Allah and the Prophet ﷺ, grounding them into confident Muslimaat. The base of our Muslim identity is knowing Allah and His Messenger. This module will insha'Allah give them a core understanding of our foundation as Muslims.

Module 2: My Salah, My Success (صلاتي نجاتي)

This module will deal with gift of Salah, their mindset towards it, how to approach it and how it is pivotal to their success. Salah is a gift, not a burden and the aim is to help the girls understand that so that they pray with eagerness (even if they need constant reminders).

Module 3: Garbage in, Garbage out

This module like its name suggests will teach the girls that just like a computer system, our mind too is a system. What we feed it, is what will reflect on our output (how we behave and act). This module deals with peer pressure, company and the negative influence of social media.

Module 4: Beautiful inside & out

In this module we will talk about dealing with one's thoughts and emotions, what is in one's control and the importance of good character and morals. We will also deal with the purpose of the Hijab and how it is part of our religion and obedience to our Creator.

All the above modules will be available weekly insha'Allah. The live sessions are aimed to complement the learning and a motivation to complete the weekly modules within the time. We will have the much-loved Kahoot quizzes and some more activities to add some spark to their learning insha'Allah!
